Keeping Score At Home

Keeping Score At Home

I’m excited to share the release of my new single, “Keeping Score at Home.” This song has been on a long journey—one that started three years ago with a notebook full of lyrics and a lifetime of memories spent keeping score at Cubs games.

Ever since I was a young fan, I’ve loved having a pencil in hand and a scorecard in my lap, tracking the story of each game one play at a time. And even today, I like when broadcasters say, “That was a 6-4-3 double play, if you’re keeping score at home.”

But this song isn’t just about baseball.

As I wrote the lyrics, I realized I was capturing something bigger: the experience of feeling stuck on the sidelines of your own life, waiting for your moment, hoping to find your groove.

The song speaks to anyone who has struggled to find their path or passion—anyone who’s watched others get called into the game while they’re still waiting to hear their name. Through the verses and refrains, Keeping Score at Home follows that journey from doubt and hesitation to clarity, confidence, and stepping boldly onto the field.

This year, I reached out to George Wundsam, Jr.—a talented producer and a close family friend—to bring the lyrics to life. I knew he was the perfect person for the project, but even so, his music exceeded anything I imagined. George heard the heart of the song immediately, and what he created is a collaboration I truly cherish.

If you are keeping other’s score at home, I hope someday they will be keeping your score!

Keeping Score At Home is available at most music streaming services.
